Install & Fit
How do I put a Reel Grip on?
Slide it straight onto your reel handle. That's it — no glue, no tape, no heat.
If the grip feels snug going on, dab a little soapy water on the inside of the grip and on the handle. It'll slide right into place, dry clean, and lock in tight. This is the same trick we've been giving customers since day one.
Which Reel Grip is right for my reel?
Use our Fit Guide to match your reel to the right grip. Quick version:
- Reel Grip — most baitcasting reels
- Reel Grip-X — ice fishing reels and compact spinning reels
- Reel Grip T — trolling reels and larger reel handles
- Reel Grip Fly — small arbor fly reels (freshwater)
- Reel Grip Fly XL — large arbor fly reels (saltwater)
- Rod Grip — slides directly onto your rod, cut to length
- Rod Wrap — wraps any rod handle, no adhesive needed
Will it damage my reel?
No. Reel Grip is silicone, so it won't scratch, leave residue, or react with your reel's finish. It slides on and off cleanly whenever you want to swap colors or move it to a new reel.
How long does it last?
A Reel Grip will outlast most reels. Customers have told us they've moved the same grips from rod to rod for over a decade.

How many grips come in a pack?
- Reel Grip (standard) — 2 per pack, one for each handle
- Reel Grip-X, Reel Grip T, Reel Grip Fly, Reel Grip Fly XL — 1 per pack
- Rod Grip — 1 per pack, cut to length
- Rod Wrap — 1 per pack, 20" length
Can I cut the Rod Grip to fit my rod?
Yes — that's how it's designed. Slide it on, mark where you want it to end, and trim with scissors. Works on rod handles, foregrips, and fighting butts.
Does the Rod Wrap need glue or tape?
No. The textured surface self-bonds as you wrap. No adhesive, no tape, no shrink wrap. If you want to reposition it, just unwrap and start over.
Made in the USA
Are Reel Grips really made in the USA?
Yes. Every Reel Grip is handmade in Wadsworth, Ohio at our family-owned facility, Raydar Inc. We've been doing it the same way since 2005.
Why does that matter?
Because we control the quality. The silicone, the molds, the finish — all of it happens under one roof in Ohio. When something needs to change, we change it. When something needs to ship, it ships fast.

When will my order ship?
Orders typically ship from our Ohio facility within 1–2 business days.
How much does shipping cost?
- Free U.S. shipping on orders over $30
- Orders under $30 ship at standard USPS rates calculated at checkout
Do you ship internationally?
Yes — international shipping is available at checkout to most countries. Rates and delivery times vary by destination.
Returns & Exchanges
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Every Reelgrip is handmade to order in Wadsworth, Ohio, so all sales are final. We don't accept returns or exchanges for wrong color, wrong size, change of mind, or "didn't fit my reel." Before you order, please use our Fit Guide — and if you're not sure which grip you need, contact us and we'll help you pick the right one.
What if my order arrives damaged?
We'll make it right. Email us at Reelgrip@raydarrubber.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number, a photo of the damaged item, and a photo of the box if it was crushed or torn. We'll send a replacement or refund the damaged items. You don't need to send the damaged grip back.
What if you shipped the wrong item?
That's on us. Email us at Reelgrip@raydarrubber.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of what arrived. We'll send the correct item at no charge — and you can keep what we sent by mistake.
